CHARITY
Eliane grew up with a mother who worked at
the Swiss Red Cross and at the Help Organizations Caritas and
Heks. Her mother currently runs a multicultural home for the
mentally ill, which she founded herself. Every year, Eliane
would dance vietnamese dances at the "Day of refugees" event,
where her mother would have a stand, in front of Switzerland's
government building. Eliane grew up, attending buddhist seminars
of Thich Nhat Hanh, in his village "Plumvillage" in South of
France. Thich Nhat Hanh was nominated for the Peace Nobel Prize
and he helps, orphans, refugees, political prisoners and much
more. He has been to the White House many times and is the
world's most famous buddhist monk in the world, after the Dalai
Lama. Eliane grew up helping selling books by Thich Nhat Hanh. In
2010, Eliane recorded a CD called "Plumvillage Kid", where she
sings poems of Thich Nhat Hanh. She gives 50% of the proceeds of
the sales of the CD to Thich Nhat Hanh and his organization. She
has hosted an event in Geneva for "Maison Chance Vietnam", which
is a house taking care of disabled people in Vietnam. Recently
Eliane became an ambassador for the help organization
Future4children, which supports the education for orphans in
Bolivia and China. Eliane is currently singing her CD "Christmas
Time" in churches in Switzerland. She gives 10% of the proceeds
to Future4children.
In 2010 Eliane sang at a Charity Event helping Haiti.
In 2011, Eliane participated at the Pink Ribbon Walk in Zuerich,
Switzerland, to help women with breast cancer.
